Tiger’s Nest Monastery is Bhutan’s most iconic sacred site, dramatically clinging to a cliff about 900 meters above the Paro Valley. According to legend, Guru Rinpoche meditated here after flying on the back of a tigress. The hike to the monastery takes you through pine forests, prayer flags, and viewpoints offering stunning Himalayan scenery. It is one of the most spiritual and rewarding experiences in Bhutan.
