Punakha Dzong, also known as the “Palace of Great Happiness,” is one of the most beautiful dzongs in Bhutan. Located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, it features traditional Bhutanese architecture, intricate woodwork, and scenic surroundings. It also holds great historical importance as the former seat of Bhutan’s government and continues to host important religious and royal events.
